Both wife and Al were traveling as tourists to Toronto last Sunday night during the thick of snowstorm, their first time ever to set foot in Canada!  Apparently a cancelled trip to California made them decide to drive to Canada from Detroit.  It was at 7:45 pm Sunday, February 25th in the thick of a major snowstorm rising from Detroit to Southern Ontario Canada when the car they were driving spun out of control and settled in a ditch.  All the car's occupants survived, got out of the car to flag attention.  One hour later while standing in the highway side roads, another car hit the same ice patch and hit Azagra and another friend who is a Tayabas resident now living in Michigan.  Temperature was minus 22 degrees Celcius (-7.6º F), howling winds and freezing rain compounded the snow blizzard that evening.  Motorists were forbidden to travel in a weather alert as early as Thursday of that week.

The Lucena City Association of Ontario and Quezon High alumni are in hand in hand with assisting the family.

I DO NOT SLEEP

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
