Hi I'm Abby Ayala, daughter of Marilyn Romero - Ayala. I am also a proud graduate of Quezon National High School. So many memories I had in our Alma Mater so as my mom. Am batch 1998 and she's 1970. Hi, I'm Jeannie Panganiban of batch '95. It's already late at night here in Canada, but am still widely awake chatting with my friends from the Philippines. While waiting for their reply, am fun of searching for my favorite celebrities, although I am not a celebrity I just tried to search for my name. Gosh, I was so suprise coz I found this QNHS website. Kudos to the creators of this website! With this, memories of Quezon High are alive. Newsbits for batch 62 - a rather sad reunion for this batch happened at the wake of Myrnalyn Pabellano (nee Myrnalyn Llorico) at the Loyola Chapel in Guadalupe, Metro Manila on 8th November 2005. I stayed 3 hours with the attendees mostly from section one of batch 62 among them Linda Rosales Cruz who is now the president of the group organizing the next class reunion due in 2007 tentatively scheduled on 11th and 12th August. To members of batch 62, we encourage you to join this rare event. I myself as vice president is pushing for a yearly reunion and some other changes that will improve the number of attendees joining the reunion. Time is so fast that one day we see them, next day they're gone forever. To those who are reading this, cheers. Hope to see you in the next class reunion.

Maganda pa rin itong balik balikan.Our class1960 had another mini reunion in Chicago last week....the 3 days and 3 nights that we were together brought us back once more to our happy days.Talagang masaya ang maging "kalog" again kahit ba ilang araw lang. Hi! actually I'm just gate crashing, it's my siblings n friends who went to QPHS, which happened to be our neighborhood. that's how I witness most of the affairs there in the late 70's-80's. I remember very well our Pilipino class with Miss Elvira Zuniga. It was kind of funny- embarrassing situation for me. Miss Zuniga asked me to read a passage in our book. I just started reading and she kept on telling me to repeat the phrase several times- "tahingang daga", "tahingang daga", etc. I was wondering why she kept on asking me to repeat these. "Pagbilaoin kasi ako". We say "tahinga" instead of "tenga". Inspite of that Miss Zuniga remained one of my favorite high school teachers.

I remember fondly how Mr. Palomar paces back and forth in front of the room reading to us wonderful pieces of literature and memorable quotes. So glad to see him in attendance at the STRIDES 100 in Toronto. Our school has grown so much- three sessions- school campus seems small than what I remember it to be.

Way back in the 90's after having left QPHS after 30 years, I decided to volunteer my time teaching at one of the math classes. The classes I taught were filled with more than 50 students- some were standing on the back because of lack of desks- without thinking I said- buti kaya ay mag-donate ako ng desks para sa mga nakatayo....it must have reached the principal because the next day he came to me and said "gusto mo daw mag-donaate nang desks?" I asked how much a desk would cost- he gave me the price that surprised me much- again without thinking, I said "ganoon po ba kamahal, puede po bang floor wax na lang?" he had a big laugh. I did end up donating some desks though. During our 40th reunion in 2000 it did not look like the school campus is being kept up like it used to be.

It was not the school I loved to remember-everything seemed so old and rundown (at least near the entrance and the main building). My visit in May 2001 reminded me of one memorable event- the school janitors- Mang Juan and others- telling me to come down from the staraple trees.
