Below are the minutes of the meeting of Class '68 held in March 2007 at Reynold Osia's lovely residence, happly coinciding with his birthday celebration. Both Reynold and his lovely wife were gracious hosts who plied us with food and drinks that our 54- and 55-year-old constitution recklessly imbibed (let's endure the consequences later, as Joseph Bernardo and Cesar Zara put it).

As usual, El Presidente Ed Dalida took care that the Lucena folks were fairly represented in Reynold's birthday bash by hiring a van, that later on was fully subsidized by Reynold, Joseph, Cesar and Manny Quisao.

As food and red wine flowed, everyone was sparkling as Levi Verora set the mood for reminiscing by calling the roll from the graduation program that Precy Reynoso brought along with her, together with scrapbooks and a treasure trove of photos.

But before I get mired in the mush, here's what happened in the meeting:

1. President Ed Dalida presided over the meeting called to order at 9:20 pm after a sumptuous dinner, courtesy of the Osia couple. The attendance sheet was passed with all 22 attendees signing and indicating their contact numbers. The attendance sheet is with Cely Abril who is updating the Class Directory.
    

2. This is Class '68's first meeting for 2007 to prepare for the planned May 17-18, 2008 reunion to mark the 40th high school graduation of Class '68 from Quezon Provincial High School.
    

3. Vice President Cely Abril suggested that an Executive Committee be formed to take charge of the reunion preparations inasmuch as President Ed is leaving for the United States. The suggestion was approved.
    

4. Those who attended the meeting were unanimous in indorsing Reynold Osia for the job. While he was warm to the idea, Reynold said that the Minutes should be posted on the Class '68 website so that other class members can post their inputs. Cely Abril was indorsed as Vice Chair since she is the current Vice President.
    

5. Committees were created and the following were proposed to chair the committees and to recruit their respective members from other class members who were not present during this meeting.

6. It was emphasized that the above committees would be expanded. The Chairs are requested to bring in additional members to make their jobs easier and more fun when more members are roped in.

8. It was agreed that the reunion contribution for locals would be a minimum of P 500.00 and for US classmates US$100.00. However, classmates who can't make it on account of the contribution will be encouraged to attend even without their contributions.
