The "Friends of the Quezon National High School Library" was created and incorporated as a non-profit association in June 2006.  The By Laws were written and adopted as early as August 2006 with some minor additions.  The purposes of the association are as follows: 

1.  to engage in fundraising efforts to build a new, first class and user friendly library within the compounds of Quezon National High School, Lucena City,

Philippines. 

2.  to operate and maintain the new library by providing services and resources that meet the specific needs of students, teachers and administrators and the community at large. 

3.  To encourage volunteer participation in library activities. 

There are currently 9 members of the Board of Directors.  Membership is open to all those interested in promoting the purposes of the organization and must be at least eighteen years of age.  The Offficers of the association are: the President, the Vice President and the Secretary -Treasurer. The association shall hold a General meeting annually and special meetings may be called by the President/or in his/her absence by the Vice President. 

The ff. are the Board of Directors:  Isabel Losloso Rivera, Lina Villenas, Angelito

Evora, Amada Sarnate, Eunice Queneri, Timoteo Navaja, Nonoy Libosada  Delia  Paunil-Timonera and Estela Lopez-Manila.  An account with CitiBank, San Francisco was opened in June 2006.  

Congressman Alcala has commissioned an architect to do an schematic plan for the library.  Final drawing for the building is in the pipeline.
